Tropical Sun Natural Sorrel 100g is dried sorrel — the same hibiscus flower used in Nigerian zobo, known across the Caribbean as sorrel and brewed into a deep red, tangy festive drink traditionally enjoyed at Christmas with ginger, cinnamon and citrus.
How to make sorrel drink
- Rinse the dried sorrel briefly under cold water.
- Add to a pot of water with fresh ginger, cinnamon and orange peel.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20-25 minutes until deep red.
- Strain, sweeten to taste, and chill before serving ice cold.
Storage
- Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container away from direct sunlight. Keeps well for up to 12 months.
