Price Fluctuations & Perishables

1. Perishable Products

  1. Short Shelf Life
Many of our fresh and chilled items—such as plantains, peppers, yams, or other produce—are highly perishable. We take every precaution to ensure your order arrives in peak condition, but please note:

    • Storage: Immediately store perishable items in a cool, dry place, refrigerator, or freezer (as appropriate) upon delivery.

    • Consumption Window: We recommend using perishable goods promptly to guarantee freshness and quality.

  2. Quality & Condition
We inspect products before dispatch to meet acceptable standards. However, factors like transport conditions, weather, and handling by the courier can affect item quality upon arrival.

  3. Returns & Refunds for Perishables

    • Eligibility: Perishable goods generally cannot be returned once delivered due to health and safety rules.

    • Damages: If your perishable items arrive spoilt or damaged, please contact us within 24 hours with photos and a detailed description for review. If approved, we’ll issue a replacement or store credit (at our discretion).

    • Customer Responsibility: We are not liable for spoilage when delivery attempts fail or if items are left unattended in unsuitable conditions.

2. Price Fluctuations

  1. Market Influences
Certain items—especially fresh produce, seasonal goods, or imported specialities—are subject to market scarcity, seasonal variations, and import costs. Consequently, prices can shift without prior notice.

  2. Real-Time Updates

    • Website Pricing: We strive to keep our listed prices accurate and up to date.

    • Order Confirmations: In rare instances, if an item’s cost changes significantly post-purchase, we may contact you to discuss potential alternatives (a different product or store credit).

  3. Availability & Substitutions
Where a product becomes temporarily unavailable or cost-prohibitive at short notice, we may offer a similar substitute of equal or higher quality. You’ll have the option to accept the substitution or receive a store credit.

  4. Customer Notification
Any major price adjustments or promotions for perishable staples will be announced on our homepage or social media channels as promptly as possible.
