How to prepare amala
- Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil per 1 cup of yam flour.
- Pour in the flour gradually whilst stirring continuously with a wooden turner to prevent lumps.
- Reduce the heat, cover, and allow to steam for 2 minutes. Stir again until smooth and elastic.
- Serve hot, shaped into balls, alongside ewedu, gbegiri, or any preferred Nigerian soup.
