MP Farina Cassava Flour 4kg is a fermented, slightly sour cassava meal — the characteristic base ingredient for traditional cassava fufu swallow across Nigeria and West Africa. Farina's gentle fermented sourness gives cassava fufu its distinctive tang, setting it apart from plain cassava flour or garri. It prepares quickly to a smooth, elastic swallow that pairs beautifully with egusi soup, okra stew, ogbono, banga soup and bitter leaf soup. Pack size: 4kg, ideal for large households and regular cooking.
How to prepare
- Bring water to a boil in a heavy pot — approximately 2 cups water per 1 cup of farina.
- Gradually pour in the flour whilst stirring continuously with a wooden turner to prevent lumps.
- Reduce heat, cover, and steam for 2 minutes. Stir again firmly until the swallow is smooth and elastic.
- Serve hot alongside your preferred Nigerian soup.

- Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container away from moisture.
- Best used within 6 months of opening.
