Description

Frozen Tilapia Small (4 Cuts) is smaller tilapia, gutted and scaled and supplied as four individual fish — a practical size for individual portions or smaller households where a single 800g fish would be too much. The same firm, mild flesh as our larger tilapia, just sized down.

How to prepare

• Thaw in the fridge, score the skin, season with ginger, garlic and pepper.
• Grill or fry whole until the flesh flakes easily, or add to a simmering pepper soup pot.
• Cook thoroughly until the flesh flakes and reaches 63°C internal.

Storage

• Keep frozen at -18°C until ready to use. Defrost in the fridge overnight — do not refreeze once thawed. Use within 24 hours of defrosting.
